The use of blow dryers is somewhat unavoidable in today’s busy life. On its flip side, the constant use of blow dryers can cause ill-effects to your hair in the form of frizziness, dryness and hair breakage. But you can take care of your hair to an extent while using blow dryer by adhering to certain important things.

First of all, use a shampoo with dry hair formula, as it provides extra nourishment to your hair thus safeguarding it from the excess heat generated by your blow dryer. This should be followed with the application of a moisturizing conditioner. After rinsing it off, you’ve to towel dry your hair however not by rubbing it. It would be a good idea to wrap your hair around the towel for few minutes. This will allow towel to absorb excess water from your hair. Once the water is completely soaked by the towel, divide your hair into smaller sections.

To provide maximum protection to your hair, apply a heat protectant serum or spray on to your scalp before blow drying your hair. It would be even better if you could fasten a quality diffuser to your blow dryer. Speaking of blow dryer, it is best to have one with ceramic and ionic properties, which not only helps for uniform heat distribution but also prevents static electricity.

When you begin the process, it is advisable to start from the roots. Likewise, ensure that you position your blow dryer six to seven inches away from your scalp. After completing the process with a blast of cool hair, apply an anti-frizz gel to add to its shine and smoothness.
