Natural Home Remedies for Dark Circles. Dark circles under the eyes are a fairly common problem, particularly as we age. In addition to simply being a sign of aging …

Chronic dark eye circles could be a symptom of several things. You’re not getting enough sleep, you’re not eating a healthful diet, perhaps you inherited them or you …

If you wake up with dark circles, there are several home remedies you can try that are short-term solutions. First off, alternate between hot and cold compresses beneath your eyes for 15 minutes. This will help encourage circulation while reducing swelling. Next, steep two tea bags in cold water, then squeeze them out and lay them over closed eyes for around 10 minutes. You can lay thin slices of cold cucumber on your closed eyes for 20 minutes to increase circulation and soothe the skin.

If these methods don’t work, move on to a more intense remedy. Grate a couple of potatoes until there is enough juice collected in the bowl to soak a couple cotton balls in. Place the cotton balls over your closed eyes for 15 minutes to let the active enzymes work as a skin lightener while soothing the skin at the same time. Or before bed, you can mix together almond powder with milk cream until it is of a lotion consistency (or you can just use almond oil) and rub it softly underneath your eyes at bedtime, then rinse off in the morning. Repeat this method for 2 weeks.
