Nioxin System One

Posted by Glenn Watson Filed Under Hair, Hair Care with No Comments

This is a review of Nioxin system one, for fine, untreated, normal to thin looking hair. There are a total of eight Nioxin “systems” to chose from. Each system caters for a different hair type, ranging from thin or very fine hair to thick coarse hair. Each Nioxin product can be bought separately, however it is recommended that you buy them as a kit. The system one kit contains shampoo, scalp treatment and a scalp therapy cream.

If you decide to buy Nioxin I definitely recommend that you buy it as a kit, once you have decided which system is right for your hair type. The system works best when you use all three products and it can be expensive to buy them separately. The best value can be found online and it can also be difficult to find anything past system 4 in stores or salons. However system 1 does seem to be widely available. Always read Nioxin Reviews before purchasing.

Choosing The Right Shampoo For Your Hair Type

Posted by Marie R. Boling Filed Under Hair, Hair Care with No Comments

There are hundreds of shampoo’s out there, from the Suave you can purchase at the local pharmacy to designer shampoo’s like Kerastas and Philip B. that can only be purchased from speciality salons and stores. How do you choose?

First, know your hair type. It’s fairly easy to know what type of shampoo your hair needs if it’s permed or colored. If your hair is permed then most likely you’re seeing a stylist on a regular basis and he or she has suggested a product for you. If your hair is colored you will want a shampoo that will be gentle on the color and not strip it from your hair. Is your hair dry? Oily? Thin or full and coarse?

We have sulfate free shampoo available at iwantthathair.com.

What affect do you want the shampoo to have on your hair? Be aware of claims made by shampoo manufacturers. The only thing regulated by the Food & Drug Administration is the list of ingredients on the back of the shampoo bottle. This means that manufacturers can claim their shampoos moisturize or add volume whether or not they do.

Herbs and botanicals smell great, but their affect on the hair has never been proven. Actually most shampoos and conditioners affect your hair only temporarily by leaving product behind on your hair after you wash. They have no long term effect on the condition of your hair at all.

Visit us to learn about the best shampoo for oily hair.

Don’t believe that you have to use one manufacturers entire hair product line. It’s the same for skin care products. All shampoos clean the hair. All soaps clean the face. All conditioners leave a trace of product on your hair which help keep the cuticle smooth. All moisturizes soften and moisturize the skin. It doesn’t matter if you mix and match products, despite what they say.

Reasons to use organic hair products

When you use conventional chemical based hair products on your hair, you risk stripping natural oils and causing more harm than good, even possibly causing the dreaded hair fall. When you use organic hair products you allow the power of nature to nourish and strengthen your precious hair. There are many places to get your organic hair supplies nowadays, as more manufacturers realize that these products really work. Some of the most obvious areas where you can give your hair and scalp a treat is simply switching to an organic shampoo and conditioner, just by adding these daily to your routine you will be being kind to your hair and should notice improvement to softness and texture in just a few washes. When you also get the organic hair oil such as organic coconut oil and argan oil into your weekly routine too, you really will wonder how you ever coped with the harsh chemical based high street alternatives.

What is the Best Treatment for Scalp Psoriasis?

Posted by Joshua H Filed Under Bath, Hair, Health, Shampoo, Skin Care with No Comments

So many people want to know what is the best treatment for scalp psoriasis. This is an excellent question! If you are suffering from scalp psoriasis you likely already know that if you use an ineffective treatment or even skip just one treatment the psoriasis can quickly spread to your neck and even the edges of your face.

With this being said, there is nothing more important than finding the best treatment for scalp psoriasis and sticking to it. As you can imagine getting through your hair and to your scalp is not easy, and therefore creams and ointments are out. The best treatment for scalp psoriasis is shampoo.

There are actually dozens of different medicated shampoos on the market today meant to help reduce the symptoms of scalp psoriasis. They take away the itch, reduce the skin scales and help you live with this extremely difficult skin condition. No matter what brand of scalp psoriasis shampoo you choose to try first it is essential to follow the directions exactly. Many of these shampoos are only meant to be used 1-2 times per week and this should not be deviated from unless your dermatologist instructs you to and is watching you closely.

It is the strong ingredients within the scalp psoriasis shampoos that make them dangerous to use on a daily basis. Coal tar and salicylic acid are the two most common ingredients used in psoriasis shampoo. Coal tar helps relieve the inflammation and the itch while salicylic acid helps gently break down the skin scales or plaques that form on your scalp. Each of these medications can be found over the counter, but for stronger dosages, a prescription is necessary.

Use a laser comb to prevent hair replacement for men

Posted by Daryl Filed Under Beauty, Beauty Products, For Him, Hair, Hair Care with No Comments

What is a laser comb

A laser comb use very low level laser light as a treatment method for hair loss. This is a newer technology that uses exposure to laser light or laser light emitting diodes. Some say it’s going to be one of the most important treatments since the discovery of penicillin and antibiotics. It’s said that not only is the laser good for hair but also for skin conditions, pain, addiction and dental diseases plus it’s ability to help your hair. The laser comb has not been cleared by the FDA to treat hair loss but I expect it will be, soon.

Once again we have rodents to thank for this accidental therapy. It was noticed that mice who had been shaved and then treated with a laser had much faster hair regrowth than the mice who didn’t get the laser treatment. The low level laser light was found to increase blood flow which made a better environment for new hair growth.

Hair replacement for men has been around for a long time. However for many years men could only buy wigs or toupees to replace their hair. Not only were these devices hot and bothersome they weren’t made very well and made many men a laughingstock. Why Donald Trump keeps wearing that thing on his head is beyond me. With his money you’d think he’d be able to buy a totally new head of hair. It’s obvious that “The Donald” doesn’t mind being laughed at about his hair.

For most men that attitude just doesn’t work. They feel small, demeaned, shy and stressed out when they start losing their hair. Theirs also an idea around that guys who lose their hair aren’t as virile or as manly as men who have hair. Many men who have lost their hair have the same testosterone levels as men who haven’t lost their hair. That makes the old idea that losing your hair makes you less of a man, very much not true.

Are hair plugs your choice for hair replacement

Posted by Daryl Filed Under Beauty, For Him, Hair, Hair Care, Personal Care with No Comments

Hair plugs are still around and are still being used. However because the plugs had such a bad connotation they aren’t called hair plugs anymore. It’s a good thing they were improved as the old style just didn’t work well. There were just to many hairs in the past plugs that were used so your new hair didn’t look natural. Instead it looked like a bunch of hair dots growing all alone.

By the way, they are no longer called hair plugs. It’s now called a follicular hair transplant. Another thing also happened with the name change, it was discovered that hairs from the back back of the head didn’t have the same problems with falling out or getting weak as did hairs from the top of the head.

There are many different hair replacement treatments that you can choose from depending on the cause of your hair loss. Surgery has proven to be effective in restoring lost hair. It also looks very natural and unless you knew they were bald before you’d never know they’d had replacement surgery.

For male hair loss there’s minoxidil and cortizene injections that are fairly effective. Topical immunotherapy is an option to treat Alopecia. Another possible option is using dinitrochlorobenzene as a solution on the scalp, for Alopecia.

First of all it was initially a shock for me to realize that a pair of professional shears can be over $800! That blew me away. It must be so nerve racking to know that they are getting dull, and you have to find somebody that is trustworthy enough to handle your investment! Sounds pretty scary to me.

Shear sharpening is something that, apparently, takes many years to learn how to do it the right way. Seems like this guy Dave really knows what he is talking about. I know one thing for sure. It is so important to know what questions to ask when you know it is time to have your beauty shears sharpened. You can’t trust that to just anyone!

Bring hair extensions to those people that want longer and/or thicker hair but cannot or do not want to go to the salon to get it done. You can provide this service in their homes, or where they work, – wherever they choose. You could charge $30 to $50 per customer, which does not include the cost of the extensions. If you enjoy working with hair and are an expert at attaching hair extensions this could be the ‘business idea’ for you.

People are so busy now; they would love to have you come to them with this type of service. They would happily be willing to pay the extra fee for you to come and provide your services. Most professional people know that their appearance is vital for their success in the business world so they are willing to pay the extra for services brought to them, especially if you can offer your services where they work.

You will need to have a reliable vehicle that you can carry all of your needed supplies in. Not only will you need your hair extensions in various colors and lengths but also all of your needed supplies to work with hair and attach the extensions firmly. Don’t forget gowns and mirrors for your customers also. It is a good idea to have a camera also, so that you can use the pictures of ‘before and after’ the extensions have been attached. This will also work well for reference purposes for you and help you in case someone decides not to pay you. You will have proof of the work you did for them just in case you need to take them to court. More unique business ideas you can do.

Of course, you will need to be very organized also, make sure that you have an appointment book and give yourself plenty of time to arrive at each appointment. It is a bad business practice to be late for your appointments. Make sure that your customers know that you are on a very strict schedule also, so that they don’t make you wait for them. If they do make you wait, they will still have only the allotted time set aside for their appointment. Make sure that you make this perfectly clear to them when they book appointments with you.

The nice thing about this type of service is that once their hair does grow out they will need you to return and re-attach their extensions or remove them. Therefore, you are guaranteed additional appointments. You should also carry a few different books that show the various hairstyles that you can offer them, just in case they are ready for something new or different.

To advertise this service you could leave flyers at various companies that are close to you or with-in an acceptable traveling distance. Your main customer base will be people that are willing to pay for your services. You could target business people, retirement communities, and professionals.

Because you will be traveling a lot, make sure that you keep meticulous records of all of your mileage, gas expenses, car repairs, insurance, registration, and car payments. So what kind of service could relate to hair without being a licensed Cosmetologist? Let me explain with a little story.

Mandy was tired of her daughter’s long hair always getting tangled and dirty. She would always cry when Mandy brushed it out. One day, Mandy decided to braid her daughter’s hair. She created a beautiful French braid that lasted for several days. Mandy was thrilled and so was her daughter!

When her daughter’s friends came over, they would want Mandy to do the same with their hair. Before long, Mandy was doing braids for lots of people and they were offering to pay her for it. Finally, Mandy decided to offer her services to anyone and now she goes to people’s houses to braid their hair for them.

How to Get Started:

If you already know how to braid hair, then this opportunity should be easy for you. If you need to gain advanced skills or just brush up on new ideas, look at the resource section at the end of this article.

Creating business cards is a good idea. So is a flyer. Both can be created on your home computer and printer using programs such as MS Works, MS Word or Publisher. Blank business cards are very inexpensive at most office supply stores. The template provided will make it easy to create and print your business cards. You could also use a printer service to do the flyer and business cards but this is more expensive. After your cards are done, give a couple to everyone you meet and to your friends and family. Encourage them to give them to others. More great home business ideas.

To find places to post your flyer, go to Laundromats, local grocery stores, the library, convenience stores, etc. Any place you find a bulletin board, post one. Make sure they are on bright colored paper to attract attention! You could also put little tabs on the bottom which include your Mobile Hair Braiding Service and your phone number.

Another great place to get clients in placing a small ad in local newspaper classified sections. Keep the ad short but catchy to avoid large advertising costs. The ad can be as simple as the name of your Mobile Hair Braiding Service and your phone number.

Soon you should lots of clients, including those people who work and don’t have time to go and get their hair done. If you are creative and have good skills, you will soon have lots of clients just from word of mouth advertising done by your clients!

Amazing Hair

I have always had a problem with my hair, well a few problems actually but the most annoying one is the fact that it never grows to the length that I wanted it too, only just above my shoulders, no matter what treatments I use, it is always the same. As it was my best friends wedding soon and I wanted to look my best I decided to visit a natural Glasgow hair extensions salon to fill out my hair and make it look a whole lot better. I opted for the clip in type which can be installed easilly by yourself and don’t need a hair dresser to remove them. They look great but are quite expensive. I Can’t wait for the wedding.
