Taking Care of Your Teeth
Our teeth are vitally important to us. They help determine the way we look, the way we eat (can’t eat ice cream with those cavities!) and the way we feel (if you do eat that ice cream with those cavities, it’s gonna’ hurt!). With this in mind, it’s important that we take good care of them, so here is a list of three ways to take good care of your teeth.
- Brush Them! Okay, it’s such an obvious answer, but sooo many people simply DON’T DO IT! It also matters how well you brush them. Many people only take about 5 seconds to brush their teeth. They get out their tooth brush, wet it, put tooth paste on their, stick in their mouth just long enough to feel the brush, and then their done. While brushing for 5 seconds is better than not brushing at all, you’re still headed for a mouth full of cavities if that’s all you do!
- Eat Right! So what does eating have to with your teeth you ask? A whole lot actually! If you eat tons of junk food, expect those cavities to come in for a landing much faster. However, if you eat healthier foods that don’t contain bad sugars, it will take longer for cavities to set in. This same rule applies to what you drink as well. Cokes and the like are bad, bad for your teeth. If you drink a lot of tea, you probably have yellow teeth huh?
- Visit Your Dentist!!!! Again, this, like the 1st point, may seem obvious, but just like the 1st point, a majority of people don’t go! It’s a common mistake to think that you can save money by not going to the dentist. What is important to realize however, is that by not going you could be building up to a massive bill later on down the road. That’s why it’s important to chose a good dentist, whether your selecting from Bentonville dentists , or a Jupiter dentist . It’s also important to remember that you are not just choosing for yourself, but for you family as well!
While these 3 points may seem like common sense, you might be surprised to know that a majority of people don’t do them. Set yourself apart from the crowd and take care of your teeth. Watch what you eat, make sure you brush and floss your teeth on a regular basis, and be sure to see you dentist 2wce a year!
